After studying architecture at IUAV in Venice and at Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona, Davide Fornari completed his PhD studies in Design Science at University IUAV in Venice. Since 2009 he has been a tenured lecturer and researcher at the Laboratory of visual culture, SUPSI, in Lugano. He coordinates the Master in Interaction Design and imparts classes in History of graphic design and typography to BA students in Visual Communication. He was coeditor with Chiara Casarin of Estetiche del camouflage (et al./Edizioni, 2010) and with Ludovica Scarpa of the Italian edition of Heinrich Wölfflin’s Psychology of Architecture (et al./Edizioni, 2010). He contributed texts and designs to various exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He authored articles for the magazines AliasDomus and Ottagono, and published essays for Sellerio, Einaudi, and Treccani, among others. He is a member of the permanent observatory of the Association for Industrial Design (ADI), and co-edits the magazine Progetto grafico with Silvia Sfligiotti.
